The Pearl River Police Department is seeking dedicated and responsible individuals to serve as Crossing Guards. As a vital part of our community safety team, Crossing Guards play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of children and pedestrians as they navigate busy streets, particularly near schools and high-traffic areas.
Position is Part-Time.
Split Shift – 3 Hours Morning / 3 Hours Afternoon
Monday – Friday

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely direct and assist children and pedestrians as they cross streets, particularly during school arrival and dismissal times.
- Monitor traffic conditions to determine safe crossing opportunities and manage vehicular flow.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement, school officials, and parents to promote safe travel practices.
- Maintain a visible and authoritative presence to deter unsafe driving behaviors in school zones.
- Report any safety hazards, vehicle violations, or emergencies to the appropriate authorities.
